On April 24, 2015, Howard (Honghua) Li successfully defended his PhD Thesis titled "Shape Compaction via Stacking and Folding". It has been a great five years having Howard in the lab. He was always a positive presence, and he has accumulated an impressive publication record, including one of our SIGGRAPH papers this year. Congratulations Howard, we wish you all the best!
A Sampler of Useful Computational Tools for Applied Geometry, Computer Graphics, and Image Processing, a book edited by Daniel Cohen-Or, Chen Greif, Tao Ju, Niloy Jyoti Mitra, Ariel Shami, Olga Sorkine-Hornung, and our own Richard Zhang, will be released by A K Peters/CRC Press on May 20th, 2015.
