Ping Tan Receives NSERC RTI Grant

Ping Tan, as principal investigator, has been awarded an NSERC Research Tools and Instruments (RTI) grant for one year, in the amount of $112,922, for vision-based robotics research.

Ping's proposal, titled 'Vision based autonomous navigation and HRI for a team of flying robots' will receive $112,922 in funding for one year. This budget will be used towards the acquisition of state of the art equipment, such as Vicon motion capture cameras, which will be used in research. Research Tools and Instruments (RTI) grants foster and enhance the discovery, innovation and training capability of university researchers in the natural sciences and engineering by supporting the purchase of research equipment and installations.
